KMP Tunu Pratama Jaya Incident: update on Victims and Ongoing Search Efforts

Bali, Indonesia – July 3, 2025 – Authorities have released the latest figures concerning the tragic sinking of the KMP Tunu Pratama Jaya vessel. As of today, the confirmed death toll stands at five individuals.

According to police reports, a total of 34 people have been accounted for, wiht 29 individuals successfully rescued. This group comprises four crew members and 25 passengers who were traveling aboard the ship.

Currently, a significant number of individuals remain unaccounted for. as of 4:23 PM Western Indonesian Time, 32 people are still missing – including 23 passengers and 8 crew members. Search and rescue operations are ongoing, utilizing both maritime and aerial resources to cover a wide search area.
