Laredo Public Health Department to Host Emergency Preparedness Workshop

The Laredo Public Health Department is hosting a free “Get Ready Day” workshop on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, to equip community members with essential safety skills and emergency preparedness knowledge. The event aims to empower residents to respond effectively to unexpected situations at home and within the community.
Workshop details
The workshop will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Laredo Public Health Department offices. Attendees will receive instruction on a variety of critical preparedness topics, including:
* Fire Safety: Understanding fire prevention and safe evacuation procedures.
* Basic First Aid: Learning fundamental skills to address common injuries and medical emergencies. the American Red Cross offers comprehensive first aid training resources.
