Last wednesday,Liam Payne fans, their fellow professionals and millions of spectators around the world met with the unforgettable one direction member in Building The Band, the Netflix musical contest that recorded weeks before his tragic death on October 16,2024,in Buenos Aires. Nine months later, his image reappears on the small screen with a mixture of nostalgia, emotion and admiration. But the impact goes far beyond its new appearance. As revealed by the Daily Mail, Liam Payne recorded two secret, complete and ready to be shared with the world.
One of his two unpublished albums was co-written with Jamie Scott – a producer and composer of successes as Night Changes, one direction – , and was recorded in Camden, north of London. The second, much more intimate, was made during his stay in Palm Beach, Florida, in the summer of 2024, and also in Sweden. This is a work created at a especially special moment for the singer: Four months of sobriety in wich he focused on his health, accompanied by his then partner, Kate Cassidy, with whom he lived in an apartment of almost $10,000 a month.
Although in this first chapter Liam does not appear yet, his presence feels constant. It is indeed expected that their episodes will arrive next week, exactly on July 16,just nine months after his death. The series, which follows 50 young talents trying to form bands without knowing previously – getting only into the voice – thus becomes much more than a musical reality: it is also an unexpected testimony of the last months of the British artist.

Building The Band. But, sadly, I would not be able to maintain that stability.
