A lieutenant colonel of Federal Security Service Russian (FSB) has been murdered by militants of the Russian Volunteer Corps in the Russian region of Bryansk, bordering Ukraine and a regular target of this group of anti-Kremlin Russians who fight with the Ukrainian Army, according to a military intelligence source from Kiev (GUR).
According to the source to the kyiv publication Liga.net, the dead lieutenant colonel belongs to the border department of the FSB. In a message published on its Telegram account, the Russian Volunteer Corps claimed this Friday to have successfully carried out an ambush against a Russian convoy in the Bryansk region.
The note does not refer to casualties and includes alleged photographs of Russian anti-Kremlin rebels fighting among the vegetation. The Russian Telegram channel Baza has confirmed the death of an FSB lieutenant colonel who was opened fire with automatic weapons by “unknown individuals.”
