Summer Blood Donation totals Show Positive Trend

As of August, 86 donors contributed to the latest blood collection drive. Georges Dussurgey, president of the Association of Blood Donors, expressed satisfaction with the numbers, noting an increase compared to the same period last year. The July collection saw 144 donors participate, including seven first-time donors. This August’s drive welcomed nine new donors,bringing the total donor count for the summer to 230,with 16 new individuals contributing for the first time.

Dussurgey emphasized the consistent and critical need for blood donations to meet ongoing demands. The Association of Blood Donors continues to encourage community members to consider donating to help maintain a stable blood supply.
