This Thursday, the MARCA newspaper presented the Women’s Sports Awards, the awards that recognize the talent of women in different sports disciplines, during an event that took place at the Espacio Rastro Madrid and was hosted by journalists. Ana Quiles y Vicente Ortega.
The event was attended by personalities and faces of Spanish sport, such as the general director of the Higher Sports Council, Fernando Molinero;the president of the Spanish Football Federation, Pedro Rocha; the vice president of the Spanish Olympic Committee, Isabel Fernandez; the general director of Sports of the Government Area of Culture, Tourism and Sports of the Madrid City Council, Ricardo Echeita; the CEO of the F League, PabloVilchesand the president of the Spanish Basketball Federation, Elisa Aguilaramong others.

“Skills and knowledge add up, but it is the attitude that multiplies success,” declared Juan Ignacio Gallardo during his speech. For the director of MARCA, it is also a “formidable tool to promote women’s sports in our country.”
Likewise, he has referred to the current moment as “a good and unstoppable wave of triumphs, visibility and social recognition”, on which MARCA has already been “riding for a long time” and has reaffirmed the newspaper’s commitment to continue working “tirelessly, with all the institutions that accompany us and that generate an extraordinary photo that represents the necessary union of all our sport.
