Mayo Mayhem Windsurfing Event Postponed to October 3rd-5th
the highly anticipated Mayo Mayhem windsurfing event has been postponed due to unfavorable weather conditions. Originally scheduled for this weekend, the competition will now take place from October 3rd to 5th.
Event organizers cited a lack of suitable wind – both in strength and direction – as the primary reason for the delay. Forecasts indicated light or no wind, making competitive windsurfing unfeasible.
“Unfortunately, conditions this weekend where not ideal,” a statement from the event confirmed.
Malcolm Scott, the event organizer, expressed optimism about the rescheduled dates. He noted that a notable weather system is predicted to arrive next weekend, promising three days of strong winds and ideal conditions for top-tier windsurfing competition. Participants and spectators can anticipate a thrilling event wiht the improved forecast.
