MediaTek Launches Dimensity 9500 for Flagship Smartphones

MediaTek has launched the Dimensity 9500,a cellular platform for 5G flagship smartphones. This System-on-Chip (SoC) is expected to set new standards for artificial intelligence (AI) technology, console-level gaming, and power efficiency.

JC Hsu, Corporate Senior Vice President and General Manager of MediaTek’s Wireless interaction Business Unit, stated that AI is integral to modern life. Consumers desire devices that are smarter, faster, and more personalized, all without compromising battery life.

“The MediaTek Dimensity 9500 delivers AI breakthroughs on-device, enhanced performance, and superior power efficiency, along with a range of premium experiences our partners can offer to users worldwide,” hsu said on September 22, 2025.

Hsu detailed that the Dimensity 9500 utilizes a third-generation All Big Core CPU design. It combines a 4.21GHz Ultra Core, three Premium Cores, and four performance cores, alongside four UFS 4.1 storage channels. This design boosts single-core performance by 29% and multi-core performance by 16% compared to the previous generation.

The Ultra Core also achieves 55% more efficient power consumption at peak performance, extending battery life and enhancing productivity. Improvements to the cache architecture and new memory technology further contribute to these gains.
