BLOOMFIELD, Conn. – The St. John Fisher men’s golf team placed 14th in the Trinity/Hartford Spring Invite over the weekend at the Tumble Brook Country Club. Amherst won the tournament with a team score of 592. 

The Cardinals, after finishing Saturday’s round in seventh place, fell a handful of spots on the team leaderboard on Sunday. They carded a 636 (+60) as a team during the two-day tournament. 

Freshman Nick Years and senior RJ Juodaitis had the top individual performances for the Cardinals. 

Years, who shot an 81 in the first round and a 75 in the second, finished tied for 32nd. He recorded six birdies, tied for the fourth most in the tournament. 

Joudaitis finished tied for 36th place after carding a 77 on Saturday and an 80 on Sunday.

Up Next

The Cardinals will compete in the spring portion of the Empire 8 Championship April 18-19. They finished the fall portion in first place by 25 strokes.
