Middle East Conflict: Flight Status Updates – March 4, 2026

As the conflict in the Middle East involving the U.S., Iran, and Israel escalates, significant disruptions to air travel continue on March 4, 2026. Airline Status Updates

Emirates

Emirates has suspended all operations in and out of Dubai until 15:00 local time (13:00 GMT) on Monday, March 9, 2026, due to airspace closures .

Etihad Airways

Etihad has suspended flights out of Abu Dhabi until 02:00 local time on March 5, 2026. Some repositioning, cargo, and repatriation flights may operate in coordination with UAE authorities .

British Airways

British Airways has cancelled services to Tel Aviv and Bahrain until Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Services between Heathrow and Abu Dhabi, Amman, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai, or Tel Aviv may be affected for several days .

Indigo

Indigo is operating a limited number of flights and issuing updates on its website.

Air India, IndiGo, SpiceJet and Akasa Air

Indian airlines are undertaking initiatives to operate 58 flights on March 4, 2026, to bring stranded passengers in the Middle East back home. These flights will operate out of Dubai, Fujairah, and other Gulf cities, landing in Recent Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kochi, Ahmedabad, and Thiruvananthapuram.

Airport Conditions and Safety

Since the strikes began, one person has been killed and eleven others injured at airports in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with four injuries occurring among staff at Dubai International Airport, the world’s busiest airport by passenger traffic . Authorities urge travelers not to proceed to Dubai International (DXB) or Dubai World Central (DWC) unless contacted directly by their airline with a confirmed departure time .

Ongoing Concerns

British government officials are formulating plans to potentially evacuate UK nationals from the Middle East, but the timing remains unclear due to continued airspace closures . The situation remains fluid, and travelers are advised to stay informed and follow guidance from their airlines and local authorities.
