Victor Wembanyama enters the season as a top target in fantasy drafts.

The NBA continues to evolve, and based on your feedback from last season, we’re evolving too.

We’ve made improvements to the game so you can better enjoy your experience as a fantasy general manager.

Here are the new aspects of NBA Fantasy – salary cap Edition entering Season 3:

Scoring

The decimal-point system has been replaced with whole numbers for each statistic. This change makes it easier to see how game actions translate to points for your team.

We want to keep the game simple enough for everyone – basketball experts and casual fans alike.

The new scoring system is as follows:

  • 1 point = 1 fantasy point
  • 1 rebound = 1 fantasy point
  • 1 assist = 1 fantasy point
  • 1 steal = 1 fantasy point
  • 1 block = 1 fantasy point
  • 1 turnover = -1 fantasy point

Auction Draft

We’re introducing an auction draft format! This allows for more strategic team building and player acquisition.

Instead of a traditional snake draft, you’ll have a budget to bid on players. This creates a dynamic and competitive draft environment where you can target specific players and outmaneuver your opponents.

Waiver Wire

The waiver wire process has been streamlined. Now, waivers will clear daily at 12 PM ET. this ensures quicker access to potential pickups and allows you to react faster to injuries and performance changes.

Injured Player Replacement (IR)

We’ve adjusted the IR rules. You can now place a player on IR for a minimum of 3 games. This provides more versatility in managing your roster through injuries.

Key Takeaways

  • Simplified Scoring: Whole numbers make tracking fantasy points easier.
  • Auction Draft: A new strategic draft format with bidding.
  • Faster Waivers: Daily waiver processing for quicker pickups.
  • flexible IR: manage injuries with a 3-game minimum IR stint.

these changes are designed to enhance your NBA fantasy experience, providing a more engaging, strategic, and user-friendly platform. We’re excited to see how you build your championship-caliber teams this season!
