World Alzheimer’s Day Commemorated in Nuits-Saint-Georges

Nearly fifty individuals gathered on Wednesday,September 24th,at the Nuits-Saint-Georges hospital to observe world Alzheimer’s Day,demonstrating community support and raising awareness for this critical health issue. The event, hosted by the hospital, featured a presentation by Dr. Michel Dasriaux, representing the France Alzheimer Côte-d’Or association.

France Alzheimer Côte-d’Or, based in Chenôve, is a dedicated institution comprised of approximately one hundred volunteers. Their core mission centers on providing comprehensive support to individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and their families. This support encompasses emotional guidance, practical assistance, and advocacy for improved care and research.

World Alzheimer’s Day, observed annually on September 21st, serves as a global call to action. It aims to challenge the stigma surrounding dementia,promote early diagnosis,and highlight the importance of quality care for those affected by this progressive neurological disorder.
