A life of Service and Family

Bill H. Music,93,of Mansfield,passed away peacefully on Friday,August 22,2025,at Mill Creek Nursing home surrounded by his loving family.

Early Life and Education

Bill was born at his family home in Bonanza, KY on March 30, 1932, to teh late Estill and Amanda (shepherd) Music. He was a graduate of Prestonsburg Kentucky High School.

Military Service

after high school, Bill joined the United States Navy and served his country faithfully during the Korean War from 1951 until 1955. He received an honorable discharge for his service.

Career and Family

Upon his discharge, Bill moved to Ohio seeking better work opportunities and to live wiht his sister. This led to a 33-year career at general Motors, where he worked in the MD tool and dye skilled trades.it was through his sister that he met his first wife, Ruth Ann Boyd, also a Kentucky native who had moved to Ohio with her brother. They married on September 21, 1956, and enjoyed 36 marvelous years together before Ruth Ann’s passing on October 19, 1992.

Bill was a devoted family man who found immense joy in spending time with his loved ones.He cherished every moment and created lasting memories with those he held dear.
