Ozzy Osbourne to be Honored with BRITs Lifetime Achievement Award

The 2026 BRIT Awards will celebrate the life and legacy of Ozzy Osbourne with a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award and a star-studded tribute performance fronted by Robbie Williams. The ceremony, taking place on February 28 at Manchester’s Co-op Live, marks the first time the BRITs have been held outside of London in its 50-year history.

A Final Farewell and Recognition

Ozzy Osbourne, the iconic frontman of Black Sabbath and a pioneering figure in British heavy metal, passed away in July at the age of 76, just weeks after performing a farewell concert at Villa Park in Birmingham. The BRIT Awards will honor his “inimitable impact and influence on music worldwide” with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

All-Star Tribute Performance

The show-closing tribute performance will feature a special arrangement of “No More Tears,” the title track from Osbourne’s 1991 solo album. Robbie Williams was personally invited by Sharon Osbourne to lead the performance, as a long-standing fan and friend of the Osbourne family. The performance will also include musicians who have played with Osbourne throughout his career, including Adam Wakeman, Robert Trujillo, Tommy Clufetos, and Zakk Wylde. The segment has been curated by Osbourne’s widow, Sharon Osbourne.

A Night of Musical Stars

The 2026 BRIT Awards will also feature performances by Harry Styles, Olivia Dean, EJAE of HUNTR/X, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI, Wolf Alice, Mark Ronson, and Rosalía. Jack Whitehall will return as host for the sixth time, and a new trophy designed by Matthew Williamson has been unveiled. Jacob Alon has been named the winner of the 2026 BRITs Critics’ Choice Award.

Additional Honors

Mark Ronson will be awarded for his Outstanding Contribution to Music, and Noel Gallagher will receive the ‘Songwriter Of The Year’ award at this year’s ceremony.

The BRIT Awards 2026 will be broadcast on ITV1 in the UK, with performances shared worldwide on YouTube.
