Palo Alto Networks Secures the AI Factory with Expanded Ecosystem Collaboration

BARCELONA, Spain – March 2, 2026 – As organizations increasingly rely on high-performance AI Factories, Palo Alto Networks (NASDAQ: PANW) has announced an expanded security ecosystem designed to protect this critical infrastructure. The unveiling took place at Mobile World Congress 2026, where the company revealed four new collaborations with Nokia, U Mobile, Aeris, and Celerway, aimed at enabling enterprises to scale sovereign AI and secure the autonomous edge without compromising performance.

Building a Secure Foundation for the AI Economy

Palo Alto Networks is positioning itself as a key player in establishing a secure foundation for the AI economy through extensive ecosystem collaboration. According to Anand Oswal, Executive Vice President at Palo Alto Networks, the company is seamlessly integrating its AI-powered security services from the datacenter into 5G and IoT networks globally. This integration is designed to ensure the AI Factory is “secure by design,” creating a digital infrastructure capable of handling the substantial data throughput required for AI model training.

Strategic Partnerships for Enhanced Security

The collaborations announced at Mobile World Congress 2026 focus on different aspects of securing the AI Factory:

  • Nokia: Palo Alto Networks and Nokia are combining their data center security expertise to support the growth of European ‘Gigafactories’. This partnership leverages Nokia’s AI Data Center infrastructure and Palo Alto Networks’ AI platforms to enable scalable, high-performance AI workloads while addressing data sovereignty requirements. Greg Dorai, Senior Vice President and General Manager, IP Networks, Nokia, emphasized the importance of securing the infrastructure layer, stating, “In the race to build the world’s AI Factories, you cannot leave the door open at the infrastructure layer.”
  • U Mobile: Palo Alto Networks has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with U Mobile, a 5G network provider in Malaysia, to develop a network-embedded Security-as-a-Service (SECaaS) solution. This collaboration aims to protect U Mobile’s customers from evolving cybersecurity threats by integrating Next-Generation Firewalls and AI-powered security directly into its 4G and 5G infrastructure.
  • Aeris: Integrating Aeris IoT Watchtower with Prisma® SASE 5G will provide unified visibility for global IoT fleets. This will allow mission-critical industries – including healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and utilities – to scale AI and 5G initiatives while reducing the attack surface of billions of connected devices.
  • Celerway Communication: This partnership extends the enterprise security perimeter to the distributed edge, offering data-center-class protection for first responders and remote teams. Integration with Celerway and Palo Alto Networks VM-Series Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs) ensures consistent security and data integrity for mission-critical 5G edge devices, even in challenging environments.

Extending Security from Core to Edge

In addition to these four key partnerships, Palo Alto Networks is showcasing three additional collaborations at MWC Barcelona that aim to extend security from the core infrastructure of telecommunications companies, delivering foundational resilience through a unified partner ecosystem.
