Born in San Pedro, California, Muldoon began his career while attending the University of Southern California, where he played football for the Trojans. He made his television debut in 1990 with a guest role on “Who’s the Boss?” before landing a recurring part on “Saved by the Bell” in 1991. The following year, he joined the cast of NBC’s “Days of Our Lives” as Austin Reed, a role he portrayed from 1992 to 1995 and again from 2011 to 2012. Muldoon gained further recognition for his portrayal of the villainous Richard Hart on “Melrose Place,” appearing on the Aaron Spelling-produced series from 1995 to 1996. He also appeared in the 1997 science fiction film “Starship Troopers,” directed by Paul Verhoeven, where he played the character Zander Barcalow. Beyond acting, Muldoon worked as a producer through his company, Storyboard Productions, overseeing films such as “The Tribes of Palos Verdes,” “Arkansas,” “Marlowe,” “The Card Counter,” “The Dreadful,” and “Riff Raff.” He was actively involved in the production of the upcoming feature “Kockroach,” which is currently filming in Australia and stars Chris Hemsworth, Taron Egerton, and Zazie Beetz.
