India Celebrates Eid-ul-Fitr with Greetings from President Murmu and Prime Minister Modi

Latest Delhi – Celebrations for Eid-ul-Fitr commenced across India on Saturday, March 21, 2026, with President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi extending heartfelt greetings to the nation. The festival, marking the conclude of the holy month of Ramadan, was observed on Saturday in most parts of the country, though Kerala celebrated it on Friday, March 20, 2026.

President Murmu’s Message of Unity and Harmony

The commencement of Eid-ul-Fitr was determined by the sighting of the crescent moon. While most of India began the celebrations on Saturday, March 21, 2026, Kerala observed the festival a day earlier, on Friday, March 20, 2026, after the moon was sighted there.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also extended his greetings, wishing for happiness, peace, and prosperity for all.
