Prince Andrew Faces Expanded Police Investigation, Living on King Charles’ Estate
The police investigation into Prince Andrew has expanded beyond initial allegations of misconduct in public office to include potential corruption offenses and scrutiny related to sex trafficking claims, according to recent reports. The former Duke of York, who was arrested on February 19 on suspicion of misconduct in public office, is currently residing on King Charles’ Sandringham estate as the investigation continues.
Investigation Widens
Thames Valley Police are “likely” to broaden their inquiry into charges beyond Andrew’s alleged misdoings as a U.K. Trade envoy, as reported by Marie Claire. This expansion includes a scoping inquiry into alleged sex trafficking, despite Andrew’s continuous denials of any wrongdoing in connection with his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein and accusations made by Virginia Giuffre.
Royal Lodge Search Concludes
A six-day search of Prince Andrew’s former residence, Royal Lodge in Windsor, has concluded, according to People magazine. The search was connected to the investigation into misconduct in public office. NewsNation reports that officers have left the property, but the investigation remains ongoing.
Titles Stripped and Current Residence
King Charles stripped Prince Andrew of his titles in October 2025. He has since been evicted from Royal Lodge and is now living on the King’s Sandringham estate while awaiting the results of the investigation, Marie Claire reports.
Last Public Appearance
Andrew’s last public appearance was at the funeral of the Duchess of Kent in September 2025.
