TCL RayNeo Air 4 Pro: The $299 AR Glasses Aiming to Disrupt the Market
TCL has launched its RayNeo Air 4 Pro smart glasses, alongside limited-edition Batman-themed models. These augmented reality (AR) glasses are notable as the world’s first to feature an HDR10 display, designed to enhance both movie watching and gaming experiences. A key differentiator is the price point: $299, potentially shaking up the emerging AR glasses market. For a limited time, early buyers can purchase the glasses for $249 from TCL or Amazon.
First Impressions at CES 2026
At CES 2026, the RayNeo Air 4 Pro garnered attention for its surprisingly bright OLED displays supporting HDR10 – a feature previously unseen in smart glasses. Despite the affordable price, the glasses were described as “head-mounted TVs,” suggesting a premium viewing experience.
RayNeo Air 4 Pro: Under the Hood
The RayNeo Air 4 Pro comes in three editions: a standard version, the Limited Justice Edition, and the Limited Chaos Edition. The Batman-themed glasses include accessories like a Batman cowl that attaches to the frames. The standard edition has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $299, while the Batman editions are priced at $319, both discounted to $249 and $269 respectively for a limited time.
Powered by a Vision 4000 processor and dual OLED displays, the Air 4 Pro can project a virtual screen up to 201 inches in size. Testing has shown the display to be visually impressive, particularly when watching content like Mad Max: Fury Road and The Hobbit.

Are the RayNeo Air 4 Pro Worth It?
For early adopters interested in AR glasses, the $299 price point is a significant advantage. The Xreal 1S, a comparable product, is priced at $449. The RayNeo Air 4 Pro boasts a brighter display, with a peak brightness of 1,200 nits compared to the Xreal 1S’s 700 nits. The micro-OLED displays on the Air 4 Pro also offer more vibrant colors, enhancing the viewing experience for movies and games.
However, Xreal glasses offer advantages in other areas. They can project larger virtual screens and allow users to adjust screen distance and angle for optimal viewing, with options to anchor the display or have it move with the user’s head. The RayNeo glasses currently lack an anchoring feature.
While Xreal is better suited for productivity tasks requiring an extra screen, the Air 4 Pro excels in entertainment, particularly given its price.
