Regal Cineworld Group has appointed Brooks LeBoeuf as its new head of content in the U.S.

As SVP of US Content, LeBoeuf will oversee the U.S. film and content teams, managing all acquisition, distribution and programming responsibilities for Regal Cinemas, interfacing with film studios and content providers.

LeBoeuf will also work closely with Regal’s internal teams in regards to scheduling across the circuit.

The announcement was made Wednesday by Adam Rymer, Chief Commercial Officer – US for Regal Cineworld Group, to whom LeBoeuf will report.

“Brooks has an impressive track record of understanding consumers and the changing expectations of the moviegoing audience, as we continue to enhance their overall theatrical experience,” said Rymer. “He will be a great asset in supporting our existing studio and content partners, as well as expanding the horizons of programming offered at Regal. I’d also like to thank James Lamar for his able management of the team over the last year and continuing leadership within Regal.”

Lamar served as the interim head of film content over the last year, prior to Andrew Turner.

LeBoeuf has close to 25 years in exhibition, operations and event management, marketing, retail, sales, audience engagement and film programming. He most recently served as VP Film Programming for Landmark Cinemas, the second largest exhibitor in Canada, leading the content programming division and overseeing its independent cinema booking agency, Theatre Agencies. He has spent the past 12 years at Landmark in various roles including film and content programming and operations. Prior to joining Landmark, LeBoeuf served for seven years in film programming, marketing, sales, customer strategy and operational roles at Empire Theatres. He started his career as a marketing manager at Cineplex Entertainment. He is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University.
