Brandon Aiyuk’s Season Cut Short by Knee Injury
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk’s season has come to a devastating end after he suffered a knee injury in Sunday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Tests confirmed on Monday, as reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, revealed a torn ACL and MCL, with potential for further damage.

A Week to Remember (For All the Wrong Reasons)
The injury occurred late in the first half. Aiyuk was hit after making a catch over the middle, and his knee buckled violently as he landed. He remained on the field for an extended period before eventually walking to the medical tent and being carted off to the locker room. He was immediately ruled out for the remainder of the game.
49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan expressed concerns about a possible ACL injury immediately after the game.
A Blow to an Already Strained Offense
This latest setback is a significant blow to the 49ers’ offense, which has already been plagued by injuries this season. Star running back Christian McCaffrey has been sidelined with calf and Achilles issues, while receiver Deebo Samuel only played a few snaps before leaving with an illness.
Rookie receiver Ricky Pearsall, who had previously been sidelined for the first six games of the season after being shot in the chest, made his NFL debut in Sunday’s loss.
The 49ers, now 3-4 on the season, will host the Dallas Cowboys next week.
