According to the statement, Davies passed away on September 5th at his home on Long Island in the US. “we had the priviledge to know him and to play with him for more than fifty years,” the band members wrote.Davies had been battling multiple myeloma, also known as Kahler’s disease, for over a decade.
davies founded Supertramp in 1970 alongside Roger Hodgson. While many of the band’s hits in the 70s and 80s were penned by Hodgson, Davies also contributed to the group’s success with songs like Goodbye stranger, Bloody Well right, and Canonball.He also co-wrote tracks such as School with hodgson.
