Virginia City’s 35th Annual Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry, and St. Patrick’s Day Celebration Returns March 14
Virginia City, Nevada, is gearing up for its annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration, highlighted by the 35th Annual Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry on Saturday, March 14. The event promises a full day of festivities, including a unique culinary competition, a parade, and saloon crawls.
Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry Competition
From 10 a.m. To 4 p.m., amateur and professional cooks will compete for titles such as Best Most Creative, and People’s Choice, showcasing inventive takes on Rocky Mountain oysters. Attendees can sample the entries and vote for their favorites. A limited number of V.I.Baller tickets are available, offering guaranteed samples, a commemorative medal, reserved seating, drink tickets, expedited check-in, and access to a dedicated viewing area. C Street will host the St. Patrick’s Day Parade at noon, featuring floats, musicians, and costumed participants celebrating Irish culture and small-town traditions. The popular St. Paddy Made Me Do It Saloon Crawl begins at 11 a.m. Participants (21+) can explore Virginia City’s historic saloons, enjoying themed drink samples and voting for their favorite stops. Designated drivers can participate with non-alcoholic options and sweet treats.
