Rush Announces ‘Fifty Something’ Tour Across UK, Europe, and South America
Rush, the iconic Canadian progressive rock band, has announced a new tour, the ‘Fifty Something Tour,’ extending to the UK, Europe, and South America in 2027. This follows previously announced dates across the US, Canada, and Mexico, marking the band’s first live performances without their late drummer and lyricist, Neil Peart.
Returning to the Stage
The band initially announced their return to the stage in 2025 with the ‘Fifty Something Tour’ across North America. All 22 shows initially planned sold out quickly, leading to an expansion to a total of 58 dates in 2026. Now, the tour will encompass 24 shows in 13 countries, representing Rush’s first European performances since 2013 and their first visit to South America in 17 years.
New Musical Collaborations
The ‘Fifty Something Tour’ will feature a unique format, with the band performing two sets each night. Joining Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson will be German drummer, composer, and producer Anika Nilles, known for her work with Jeff Beck and her four solo albums. Keyboardist Loren Gold, from The Who, will too be joining the band on tour. Lee stated that they are rehearsing around 40 songs to allow for varied setlists each night.
Tour Dates and Ticket Information
The tour kicks off in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on January 15, 2027, with stops in Brazil, before moving to Europe in February and concluding with dates in the UK and Scandinavia in March and April. Key UK dates include:
- March 8 – Glasgow, UK – OVO Hydro
- March 12 – Manchester, UK – Co-op Live
- March 16 – London, UK – O2 Arena

Tickets for UK shows are available here, and international tickets go on sale this Friday, February 27, at 10am local time here.
Honoring Neil Peart’s Legacy
Geddy Lee expressed excitement about returning to cities they haven’t played in a long time and visiting new locations. He emphasized the band’s desire to pay tribute to Neil Peart, stating, “We dearly hope you will come along and help us celebrate 50 years of Rush music, while giving Neil the long overdue tribute he so richly deserves.”
Peart’s widow, Carrie Nuttall-Peart, and daughter, Olivia, released a statement supporting the tour, celebrating the band’s music and honoring Neil’s legacy as a drummer and lyricist.
‘RUSH 50’ Anthology and ‘Grace Under Pressure’ Re-Release
Alongside the tour announcement, Rush is releasing a 50-track super deluxe anthology, ‘RUSH 50,’ spanning their entire discography. This includes the first-ever reissue of their 1973 debut single and a live recording of the final song played together by Lee, Lifeson, and Peart. An expanded boxset of their 1984 album, ‘Grace Under Pressure,’ will also be released on March 13. The anthology is available for purchase here, and ‘Grace Under Pressure’ can be pre-ordered here.
Lee noted that many of the band’s longstanding crew members have returned to help create a Rush display that fans have come to expect.
