Ricardo Salas Stops Jesus Saracho in Eighth Round at Zuffa Boxing 4
LAS VEGAS – Ricardo Salas secured an eighth-round technical knockout victory over Jesus Saracho in a welterweight bout on the undercard of the Jai Opetaia-Brandon Glanton event at the Zuffa Boxing 4 event on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas. The bout was streamed on Paramount+.
Salas Overpowers Saracho
Referee Robert Hoyle stopped the fight at 2 minutes and 5 seconds of the eighth round after Salas repeatedly landed heavy blows, forcing Saracho to retreat to his corner. Salas, now 23-2-2 with 17 knockouts, consistently found success with power punches throughout the fight.
“It was a tough fight,” Salas said to Max Kellerman after the fight. “The fight had just started, but I listened to my corner, the work was being put in and we were able to come out with our hand raised.”

Salas established control early, landing a stiff left hand in the second round. Saracho responded with a right and left combination, briefly backing Salas to the ropes. The fight continued with both fighters exchanging power shots, with Salas landing an effective combination in the third round and Saracho responding with hard body blows.
In the fourth round, Salas stunned Saracho with a right hand, sending him reeling across the canvas. Despite the early onslaught, Saracho demonstrated resilience, regaining his composure and weathering the storm. Salas continued to press the attack, landing a right hand that staggered Saracho in the sixth round, causing him to bleed from the nose.
The seventh round saw Salas roughing up Saracho on the ropes, working to increase his fatigue. A combination from Salas in the eighth round ultimately led to the finishing sequence and the stoppage.
Rubio Wins by Unanimous Decision
In a separate bout on the card, Pablo Rubio overcame two knockdowns in the third round to defeat Adan Palma by unanimous decision in an eight-round featherweight contest. Judges Robert Byrd (77-73), Eric Cheek (77-73), and David Sutherland (78-74) all scored the fight in favor of Rubio, who improved to 15-0 with 5 knockouts.
Palma rocked Rubio with left hooks in the third round, sending him to the canvas twice. Rubio recovered and controlled the remainder of the fight, despite Palma’s late surge with left hooks in the final round.
“I had to do what I had to do,” Rubio said to Kellerman. “I had to get up off the ground. I had to maintain fighting. And Palma’s a tough dude. He’s the only one I been cracked with like that and you gotta give it up to him. He came here to fight.”
