Samsung Z Fold 7: Slimmer, Lighter, and Packs a 200MP Camera

Before folding, it measures 8.9 mm in width. Furthermore, this flagship device is lighter than the Samsung S25 Ultra,” she explains.

Is it still equipped with S Pen?

To reduce its weight, Samsung has removed the S Pen feature. Samsung prioritizes a light and thin product design, leading to the omission of the S Pen.

The device weighs approximately 215 grams, lighter than the Huawei Mate X6, and is equipped with IP48 water resistance. Samsung utilizes advance armor aluminum for the frame and glass for the back.

The screen is a Foldable Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display, expanding to around 8.0 inches when unfolded. Both Samsung and huawei offer a 120 Hz refresh rate. Samsung equips the Z Fold 7 with a brightness reaching 2600 nit and HDR10+ support.

In comparison, the Huawei Mate X6 uses a smaller foldable LTPO OLED screen, measuring 7.93 inches. This screen has a lower peak brightness of 1800 nit.

For screen protection, Huawei prefers Kunlun Glass 2. The cover screen is a 6.45-inch LTPO OLED,boasting a brightness of 2500 Nits,matching the Samsung Z Fold 7.

Snapdragon 8 Elite is super tough

Previously,Samsung focused on refining software with minor modifications. This time, the Fold 7 sees a substantial hardware upgrade.

The device runs Samsung’s latest One UI 8 interface, providing a smooth and responsive experience.The Samsung Z Fold 7 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

Benchmark tests place the performance between the Samsung S24 Ultra and the Samsung S25 Ultra. The slim profile of the Samsung Z Fold 7 incorporates a steam chamber for heat absorption.
