San Antonio, TX – An 82-year-old man was injured after being struck by a vehicle while operating his mobility scooter late Saturday night on the near East Side of San Antonio. The incident occurred at approximately 11:00 p.m. in the 600 block of Martin Luther King Drive.
According to a police report, the man was traveling on his scooter when a vehicle, making a left turn from martin Luther King Drive onto Dreiss Street, collided with him. The driver of the vehicle did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.
San Antonio Police Department officers arrived to find the elderly man injured. He was afterward transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
