Korea SW Convergence Hackathon Showcases AI and Software Talent

The 12th Korea SW Convergence Hackathon, held at the Indoor Gymnasium in Sejong Special Self-Governing City from August 29th to 31st, brought together artificial intelligence (AI) and software talents from across the country. Hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Facts and Communications industry Promotion Agency, 60 teams and 206 participants who qualified through preliminary rounds engaged in a competitive contest.

The hackathon’s central theme was “a lasting future built with artificial intelligence.” Participants developed software convergence products and services addressing three challenges – artificial intelligence innovation, solving community problems, and creating smart cities – all inspired by this theme.
