Waterford SETU Campus Targeted in Cyber Attack
Classes interrupted, internet and online facilities down
The Waterford campus of South East Technological University (SETU) was the target of a cyber attack earlier today, leading to the cancellation of Monday’s classes, except for laboratory sessions. The attack resulted in the campus losing access to internet connectivity and all online facilities.
According to reports, staff were informed of the incident earlier today. Reassuringly, initial investigations suggest no student or staff data has been compromised.
