Philippines Weather Forecast: Cloudy Skies and Scattered Rains Expected
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) predicts that the shear line, northeast monsoon, and intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will continue to influence weather conditions across the country.
Shear Line Impact:
The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms to Mainland Cagayan, Apayao, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon.
Northeast Monsoon (Amihan):
Batanes and the Babuyan Islands will experience cloudy skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon. Meanwhile, the Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, and Cordillera Administrative Region will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
ITCZ Influence:
The ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Bicol Region, and Mimaropa.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are expected over the rest of Mindanao due to the ITCZ.
Metro Manila and Luzon:
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will likely have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms triggered by localized thunderstorms.
Strong Winds and Seas:
Northern Luzon will experience strong to gale winds and rough to very rough seas. The eastern part of the country will see moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas.
The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.
