ROCK TITANS SHINEDOWN BEGIN 2025 WITH A DOUBLE SHOT OF RAW ENERGY
SHINDOWN are kicking off 2025 with a monumental force: not one, but two explosive new singles, “Three Six Five” and “Dance, Kid, Dance,” released via Atlantic Records. To celebrate, the band is hitting the road with their massive “Dance, Kid, Dance” tour, promising an unforgettable experience for fans.
Speaking about the new music and upcoming tour, frontman Brent Smith shared, “We needed to approach everything differently this time. The last two albums were both conceptual, so it was crucial for us to really ask ourselves creatively where do we want to go. The answer to that was we want to go everywhere, so there was no specific direction. We just started writing, and let the new songs guide us. I also think we stopped saying ‘why?’ and started saying ‘why not?’”
The new singles showcase SHINEDOWN’s signature blend of raw energy and powerful songwriting. “Dance, Kid, Dance” explodes onto the scene with heavy guitars and an infectious beat, urging listeners to let loose and embrace the moment. Its impact is undeniable – securing the band’s place as a powerhouse in the Active Rock scene, holding the record for the most No. 1 songs on the charts.
“Three Six Five,” on the other hand, delves into deeper emotional territory, tackling themes of loss and the preciousness of time. Smith explains, “Anyone who has ever experienced loss knows that every day we draw breath is an prospect to live out loud – to live for those we have lost. At its core, ‘Three Six Five’ is a reminder to stop wasting time and focus on the moments we have right now and treasure time with the ones you love the most. The song honors the people in our lives who aren’t with us anymore. It reminds us to stop taking time for granted, as it’s not promised. Take chances, be bold, and don’t sweat the small stuff, because as the song says: a lot can happen in a year.”
The “Dance, Kid, Dance” tour promises to be a highlight of 2025, starting on April 25th in Des Moines, Iowa. The 35-date run will take SHINEDOWN to iconic venues across the country, including Madison Square Garden in New York City, Boston’s TD Garden, and Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. The band will be joined by fellow rock heavyweights BEARTOOTH and BUSH (on select dates), along with Morgan Wade, who will be opening for the band on all shows.
Beyond the music, SHINEDOWN is committed to giving back. The band has partnered with Musicians On Call (MOC) for the tour. For every ticket sold, $1 will be donated to MOC, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing live music to patients, families, and caregivers in healthcare settings. MOC has touched the lives of over one million people across all 50 states, providing comfort and joy through the power of music.
This commitment to music’s healing power underscores SHINEDOWN’s mission beyond entertainment. With their new music, electrifying tour, and dedication to making a difference, SHINEDOWN continues to solidify their place as one of the most impactful rock bands of our time.
