Sabrina Carpenter’s Slane Castle Concert Postponed

Plans for a proposed concert at Slane Castle in September have been cancelled, according to a communication issued to local community groups.

Visit Slane management informed members of the Slane Community Forum and local organizations that an event under consideration “will no longer be going ahead for September.” This marks the first public indication that a second concert at the iconic venue was being explored for later this year.

While not officially confirmed by organizers, US pop star Sabrina Carpenter had been linked to the proposed September date.

“We would like to inform you that the proposed second concert that had been under consideration will no longer be going ahead for September,” the statement read.

The planned event was separate from the two sold-out Luke Combs concerts scheduled for Slane Castle on Saturday, July 18th and Sunday, July 19th, 2026.

Slane Castle has a long history of hosting major summer concerts, traditionally featuring one large-scale event annually and attracting prominent international musicians.

Organizers stated they wanted to inform the community “as soon as possible so that everyone has clear and accurate information.” They also acknowledged the engagement of local residents and community groups during the proposal’s examination.

“We appreciate the interest and engagement from local residents and community groups while the possibility was being explored,” the statement added.
