Solange Knowles Fronts Nike x Jacquemus Moon Shoe Spring 2026 Campaign

Solange Knowles is the new face of the Nike x Jacquemus Moon Shoe collaboration, bringing her signature artistry and style to the reimagined classic sneaker. The campaign showcases three new colorways – brown, sail, and pink – for the spring 2026 season.

The Moon Shoe: A Legacy Reimagined

Originally handmade by Nike cofounder Bill Bowerman for the 1972 U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials, the Moon Shoe holds a significant place in Nike’s history as the first sneaker to feature the now-iconic waffle sole [Essence]. French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus revisited the archival silhouette, giving it a modern, ballet-inspired aesthetic.

Design Details and Collaboration

Jacquemus’ interpretation of the Moon Shoe features a ruched nylon upper, an elasticized back, and a Nike Grind outsole, creating a fluid and dancer-like quality [WWD]. Jacquemus described discovering the Moon Shoe during a visit to the Nike archives three years ago, recognizing its timeless yet modern design and the opportunity to reinterpret it [WWD].

Solange Knowles: A Natural Embodiment of the Brand Alignment

Solange Knowles’ involvement in the campaign is seen as a natural fit, embodying the shoe’s blend of athletic history and contemporary elegance [Essence]. Her previous collaborations with brands like Calvin Klein, Gucci, and Wales Bonner, alongside her unique personal style, demonstrate a layered relationship with fashion that transcends traditional marketing [Essence].

Release Details

The new colorways – brown, sail, and pink – are available starting March 9th. The brown and Sail colorways will launch on March 16th across SNKRS and select Nike retail locations, including Nike Women King’s Road and all NikeLab locations [Clash]. The shoe is priced at $180 [FloraDress]. The sneakers are also available at jacquemus.com and Jacquemus retail stores.

Jacquemus’ Vision for the Spring Launch

Simon Jacquemus specifically chose pale pink for this launch, describing it as a “sensual and naïve colour that brings softness and intimacy to the silhouette, reshaping the icon through our own lens” [Clash].
