All Blacks Announce 2026 Tour of South africa
In its first year, the tour will see New Zealand-the All Blacks-travel too South Africa in August and September 2026. they’ll kick things off against the DHL Stormers in Cape Town on Friday, August 7th, and will also face the Hollywoodbets sharks, Vodacom Bulls, and Lions, alongside a four-Test series against the Springboks.
The Test matches will be held at Ellis Park (Johannesburg), DHL Stadium (Cape Town), and FNB Stadium (Johannesburg). A fourth Test match will be hosted at a neutral international venue, with details to be announced soon.
This tour aims to bring back the spirit of customary rugby rivalries, renewing a competition known for its intensity and importance over the last century.
It’s been 30 years since the all Blacks last toured South Africa, playing eight matches and winning the Test series 2-1. south Africa will then tour New Zealand for the first time in the professional era in 2030.
SA Rugby CEO Rian Oberholzer said, “This competition between two proud nations has given us over a century of incredible moments on the rugby field, including two Rugby World Cup finals.”
“We saw last year how much it meant to Springbok fans to welcome the All Blacks, and we can’t wait to have them back next year. It’s a chance to rekindle our friendship with our biggest rivals,” he added.
Oberholzer continued, “Today’s announcement promises more drama, physicality, strategy, and unpredictability in a rivalry that’s considered one of the most intense in world sport.”
“This tour will also be huge for our four franchises and their players-getting to play against one of the best teams ever-and for their fans, who’ll have a great possibility to watch.”
