The second stage of the “Summer National High school Baseball Toyama Tournament” concluded on July 12th with a series of compelling matchups across the prefecture.A total of eight contests resolute which teams would advance, showcasing both dominant performances and nail-biting finishes.

Several teams secured decisive victories, ending their games early through the tournament’s “cold game” rule – a win achieved when one team leads by seven or more runs after five innings, or ten or more runs after four. Toyama Daiichi demonstrated significant strength, overpowering Toyama Higashi with a final score of 10-0 in a complete game. Similarly,Sakurai achieved a cold game victory against Toyama Izumi,winning 10-3 by the seventh inning. Toyama Commercial also delivered a shutout, defeating Toyama with a score of 10-0 in just six innings.

While some games ended swiftly, others were tightly contested. Northern Toyama edged out Fukuoka with a 5-3 win at Ballpark Takaoka. Shinminato proved too strong for Ishido, winning 8-2.Takaoka Commercial secured a narrow 3-1 victory over Takatomo at the Tonami City Baseball Stadium. Fujikoshi Kogyo narrowly defeated tonami 6-4 at the Miyano Sports Park Baseball Stadium in Kurobe City. Perhaps the most dramatic finish of the day came at the hands of Takaoka Daiichi, who secured a 5-4 walk-off win against Himi.
