Apple Learning Coach Initiative Gains Momentum in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7 – The Apple Learning Coach (ALC) initiative launched in Malaysia in July 2024, aiming to train and certify local educators in effectively using Apple technology for teaching and learning.
Apple Learning Coaches are designed to mentor other teachers, helping them maximize technology’s potential in the classroom.
On October 2, members of the Malaysian Apple learning Community gathered at the Apple The Exchange TRX Store for a special event.
Certified ALC teachers shared their experiences wiht the program and demonstrated how they use Apple technology to enhance student engagement and support their teaching.
According to Dominic Liechti, Apple’s senior director, worldwide product marketing for education, approximately 500 teachers in Malaysia have already been certified as ALCs, with another 500 enrolled for the next round. Apple aims to certify 10,000 teachers by 2030.
Liechti emphasized the importance of ensuring the next cohort of Apple Learning Coaches receives thorough support and feels valued.
He also highlighted the high satisfaction levels reported by malaysian teachers participating in the program.
