Tickets for the summer patron saint festivities in Calahorra go on sale this Thursday, August 6, featuring a theatrical lineup heavily anchored in comedy and musical performance. According to the Ayuntamiento de Calahorra, the cultural program runs from August 25 through August 31 in honor of San Emeterio and San Celedonio.

Patrons can purchase tickets starting at 12:00 noon at the Teatro Ideal box office, or online beginning at 14:00 hours via the official ticketing portal. Additional box office hours are scheduled for August 13, 20, and 27 between 12:00 and 14:00 hours, ensuring physical access for local residents.

Theatrical Lineup and Schedule

The Teatro Ideal hosts four distinct stage productions between August 26 and August 29. According to municipal organizers, the schedule opens on August 26 with the musical revue Sarao, ¡vive la fiesta!, directed by Luis Pardos. The production blends music, dance, and humor to recreate a festive atmosphere featuring artists from multiple disciplines.

On August 27, the venue presents the comedy Una hermana para tres hermanos, written and directed by Álvaro Carrero. The plot follows three brothers attempting to solve a riddle to secure their father’s substantial inheritance. The theatrical series continues on August 28 with Pedro Ruiz in Mi vida es una anécdota. The 80-minute interactive show features personal anecdotes, reflections, impressions, and songs drawn from the performer’s life and career, concluding with a live audience Q&A session.

The dramatic program concludes on August 29 with Bestseller, la obra que Lorca nunca escribió. The comedy stars local actor Nacho Guerreros alongside Ana Arias, Rebeca Sala, and Andrea Alvarado, exploring an author’s desperate attempt to manufacture a viral literary hit.

Ticketing Discounts and Community Support

The Ayuntamiento de Calahorra offers a 35 % discount for theatergoers purchasing a season pass for all four scheduled shows. Additional price reductions include a 4-euro youth ticket for individuals under 30 in the second amphitheater, a 20 % discount for patrons over 60 and youth cardholders, and a 50 % reduction for job seekers, alongside designated seating for wheelchair users.

Beyond the theater events, the broader festival schedule encompasses nearly 400 activities taking place throughout August. The complete program is available on the municipal website, with free pocket editions distributed at the Oficina de Atención al Ciudadano and digital access provided via QR codes on official festival posters.

Printed large-format festival programs are also available for purchase at the Oficina de Atención al Ciudadano for a 1-euro donation. According to city officials, all proceeds from the program sales go directly to the local branch of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) in Calahorra.
