Computer History Museum Celebrates Apple’s 50th Anniversary with TechFest

The Computer History Museum (CHM) continues its celebration of Apple’s 50th anniversary with “TechFest: Happy Birthday, Apple,” a special all-day event scheduled for March 28, 2026. This follows a successful panel discussion held last week featuring Apple veterans.

Last week, the CHM hosted a panel moderated by David Pogue, bringing together key figures from Apple’s history. Participants included former Apple CEO John Sculley, long-time employee Chris Espinosa, former Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering Jon Rubinstein, and former Senior Vice President of Software Engineering Avie Tevanian [9to5Mac]. TechFest will offer a range of activities for all ages, included with Museum admission. A Seem Back at Apple’s Origins

A highlight of TechFest will be a presentation by Daniel Kottke, Apple employee number 12, who assisted Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak in assembling the first Apple I computer in 1976 [9to5Mac]. Kottke will showcase a replica Apple I computer capable of running ChatGPT.
