The “Ted Wiens Trick or Traction Award” will reward the low qualifier in each class during the second qualifying session on Friday at 3 p.m.PT. This provides a significant incentive as championship contenders battle in the fifth of six Countdown to the Championship playoff races.

- Top Fuel & Funny Car: $3,500 to the low qualifier in Q2
- Pro Stock: $2,000 to the low qualifier in Q2
- Pro Stock Motorcycle: $1,000 to the low qualifier in Q2
