Yorkton Terriers Forfeit Three SJHL Games Due to Ineligible Player

The Yorkton Terriers have been forced to forfeit three recent Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) games due to the use of an ineligible player. The forfeitures cover games played on October 11th, 16th, and 18th against the Nipawin Hawks, Estevan Bruins, and Melville Millionaires, respectively.

The SJHL has awarded the wins and points from these forfeited games to the respective opponents: Nipawin, Estevan, and Melville.

The player(s) involved will have their individual statistics from these games credited.

Impact on Standings

The use of an ineligible player in league competition has significant consequences. To ensure fairness, the SJHL has implemented the following adjustments:

* **Team Goals:** In the games where Yorkton used an ineligible player, the Terriers’ team goals will be reduced to zero.
* **Goals Against:** The opposing teams’ Goals Against totals will be adjusted by subtracting the number of goals they conceded to Yorkton in those games. If the opposing team did not score a goal, one goal will be added to their total to reflect a 1-0 scoreline.
* **Individual Stats:** Individual player statistics will remain unaffected by these changes. Only team statistics are modified.

The SJHL emphasizes the importance of adhering to league rules and regulations.
