Telangana Enhances EV Infrastructure with 31 New Charging Stations
The Telangana state Road Corporation (TGSRTC) is actively bolstering the state’s electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure with plans too install 31 publicly accessible EV charging stations on its properties. This initiative directly supports both national and state-level objectives aimed at accelerating EV adoption and diminishing vehicle-related emissions. The move comes as the central government has already approved over 2,800 charging stations across various cities, and is further propelled by Telangana’s progressive Electric Vehicle Policy of 2024.
Strategic Locations for Expanded EV Access
The proposed charging stations will be strategically positioned across key TGSRTC facilities, including bus depots and regional workshops. Specific locations earmarked for these stations include Hakimpet, Shamirpet, Korutlu, Godavarikhani, Toopran, Balconda, Suryapet, Nagarjunasagar, Jadcherla, and Narayanpet.
