The Cala Mijas Festival consolidates with The Strokes, Arcade Fire and Florence+The Machine

He Cala Mijas Festival begins its countdown for its new edition, which will take place from August 31 to September 2 with a lineup made up of international and national bands such as The Strokes, Arcade Fire, Florence + The Machine, Duki, M83, Underworld, Lori Meyers, José González, Amaia and Cala Vento, among others.

The mayor of Mijas, Josele González, has stated that “for yet another year, the festival begins its countdown under an extensive mobility, security, cleaning and transport mechanism coordinated between the Mijas Town Hall and the promoter of the Last Tour event”.

“Even the smallest detail has been taken care of so that the thousands of people that we hope to receive these days at the Sonora Mijas venue only have to worry about enjoying the best music in a unique enclave like La Cala de Mijas,” he added.

In its second editionthe music of Cala Mijas will focus on six scenarios, four located in the Sonora Mijas enclosure and 2 in the Torreón de La Cala. The doors of the festival site, Sonora Mijas, will open every day at 5:00 p.m. while the programming of La Playa will take place on Friday and Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with free access and for all audiences.

In relation to mobility, they have enabled three parking areas with capacity for about 4,000 vehicles and motorcycles. Attendees will be able to go to the festival using the regular lines that connect the different nearby towns of Malaga, such as lines M-119 and M-224 that connect Fuengirola, or M-220 that connect Marbella.
