The sources explained to Amaq “that the attack occurs in the context of the operations called by the Islamic State against citizens of the countries of the international anti-jihadist coalitionwithout mentioning one of the possible hypotheses of the attack, which was due to the burning of copies of the Koran in Sweden in recent months.

This Tuesday, Belgium lowered the maximum alert level in Brussels and kept it at three, out of a scale of four, for the entire country once the perpetrator of the attack, identified as Abdesalem L, of Tunisian nationality.
