The pace of job creation slows down and enrollment suffers its worst June since 2015

The pace of job creation stopped in june. Despite historically being a good month due to the momentum of the summer campaign, the 54,541 new contributors are poor data. Or precisely because of this, this figure shows that the pace of creation is cooling down.

So much so that it is about worst june since 2015 and in the same month last year, for example, membership grew twice as much as in 2021 it did four times more.

If the seasonally adjusted data is used -modifying the data to draw a scenario in which all the months of the year were equally positive for employment in Spain-, it can be observed that affiliation ended ten consecutive months of increases by losing 20,119 affiliates. The data remains at 20.6 million affiliates, thus falling below the level of 20.7 million employed that was exceeded for the first time last May.

These data, however, did not prevent affiliation from marking a new all-time high with 20,869,940 employedaccording to data published this Tuesday by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations.

During the month of June, for a few days (between the 12th and the 21st) the 20.9 million employed persons were exceeded, but the average for the month ended up standing at almost 20.87 million contributors, thus consolidating the level of 20.8 million of workers that was reached for the first time in May of this year, reports Europa Press.
