The Wolfe Tones Announce Final Farewell Concert at Thomond Park
Irish folk legends The Wolfe Tones have announced their final ever live show, taking place at Thomond Park in Limerick on July 13th, 2024. This highly anticipated event is being billed as their official farewell to the stage.
The band members expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to return to Thomond Park for this momentous occasion. “We’re incredibly grateful to be invited back to such a special venue for what will be our final show,” said a spokesperson for The Wolfe Tones. “It’s the perfect way to say goodbye to our incredible fans.”
The announcement comes on the heels of a triumphant year for the band. They recently electrified the main stage at Electric Picnic, which drew the largest ever recorded crowd, and sold out three consecutive shows at Dublin’s 3Arena and Belfast’s SSE Arena.
Formed in Dublin during the early 1960s, The Wolfe Tones have become synonymous with Irish folk music. The current line-up, consisting of Noel Nagle, Brian Warfield and Tommy Byrne, has been performing as a trio since the early 2000s.
