The Incident
A shoving match initiated between Oklahoma City Thunder forward Jaylin Williams and Washington Wizards guard Justin Champagnie escalated quickly. Oklahoma City Thunder guard Ajay Mitchell joined the fray to support his teammate and Washington Wizards forward Anthony Gill entered the situation, bumping Mitchell into a chair. Cason Wallace of the Thunder also became involved.
NBA Ruling
Following a 10-minute review, referees ejected Williams, Champagnie, Mitchell, and Wallace. The NBA subsequently announced further disciplinary action on Sunday, March 22, 2026.
