TikTok has finally launched a monetization program in Mexico, something many creators have been waiting for.The program directly rewards those who produce original, quality content that’s over a minute long.Interestingly, this isn’t just about views or followers. TikTok considers several factors, including content originality, video completion rates, search value, and how much interaction the videos generate.

Payments will be made monthly through TikTok Wallet or PayPal, and creators will get access to a metrics panel in TikTok Studio. This panel will help them understand exactly how their income is calculated.

Mexico is now the second country in Latin America – alongside brazil – to adopt this model. It’s already running in the United States, Europe, and Asia. This move shows TikTok’s commitment to encouraging longer-form videos, as the platform says videos over a minute now account for half of all viewing time. For creators,this is a big shift. They’re no longer solely reliant on brand collaborations and can now earn money directly from their creativity and consistency.
