As a yoga teacher, I’m often asked what my favorite poses are. It’s a tricky question! My answer changes depending on my mood, the season, and what my body needs.But there are a handful of poses I return to again and again-ones that consistently deliver a sense of grounding, release, or joy. here are seven of them.
1. Downward-Facing Dog
It’s a classic for a reason. Downward-Facing Dog is my go-to when I need to reset.It stretches my entire body, calms my brain, and gives me a little bit of a strength boost.

2. Standing Forward Bend
I love the feeling of surrendering to gravity in standing Forward Bend. It’s a simple pose, but it can be incredibly powerful for releasing tension in the spine and hamstrings.
3. Triangle pose
This pose always feels like a full-body stretch. It opens my chest, strengthens my legs, and improves my balance. Plus, it just feels good to reach for the sky!
4. Tree Pose
When I need to ground myself and find my center, I turn to Tree Pose.It’s a great way to practice balance and focus.
5. Warrior 2
Warrior 2 makes me feel like a total badass with an actual bow and arrow in hand.

maybe it should be called Humble Warrioress as I always feel a feminine equilibrium of strength and surrender.
