Heimdal, Norway – September 10, 2025 – Police are investigating a violent incident that occurred Tuesday evening near the Extra Heimdal grocery store, resulting in the hospitalization of two men in their 20s. As of Wednesday morning,both individuals remain under medical treatment.
Police were alerted to the situation at 10:18 PM on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. According to Trond Hangaas, the operations manager, the exact circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear. Witnesses reported hearing shouts and screams, prompting them to contact authorities.
“We have been in contact with two injured individuals,” Hangaas stated. “The cause of their injuries, and the events leading up to them, are currently under investigation.”
Investigators are currently reviewing witness statements and attempting to secure and analyze video surveillance footage from the area. While police are not actively searching for additional suspects at this time, they have not ruled out the possibility of further involvement.
Authorities suspect that weapons may have been used during the altercation and have collected objects from the scene for analysis.The nature of these objects has not been disclosed.
