Tsunoda Questions if Performance Secures Red Bull Seat

Red Bull driver Yuki Tsunoda isn’t sure his current performance guarantees him a continued role in Formula 1, possibly alongside max Verstappen in 2026. Before the 2025 US Grand Prix in Austin (Follow all the units in the Formula 1 live ticker here!), Tsunoda stated, “I think I’ve made good progress. But I don’t know exactly what reference level he’s using.”

He’s referring to Helmut Marko, Red Bull’s motorsport consultant, who substantially influences driver decisions. Wiht six races remaining this season, Tsunoda’s future is unclear.

Despite the uncertainty, Tsunoda remains optimistic about retaining his seat. “At least I’m showing that things are making progress. I’ve made progress, especially in the long runs,” he explained. He added, “It’s just about bringing the whole weekend together.”

How Much is Tsunoda Improving?
